A cockpit voice recorder (CVR) power supply, also known as a Recorder Independent Power Supply (RIPS), provides backup power for CVRs in the event of a loss of aircraft power. RIPSs are required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for aircraft with 10 or more passengers.
How it works
RIPSs automatically engage when aircraft power is lost, ensuring that audio recording continues
RIPSs provide 10 minutes of backup power
RIPSs are designed to protect flight data for emergency and routine evaluations

用脚趾甲盖想想CVR这种重要设备也会有额外的电池供电,包括冗余电池。
装得好像个行业人士,其实对最起码的灾备设计常识
